Awkwafina
Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who started her career through smart raps that addressed gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents within Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was via the trumpet. After classical and Jazz training, she delved into hip-hop in her teen years. When she was in college, she concentrated on her studies. She studied women's studies and journalism. While she was for a brief amount of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. It wasn't until after graduating when she decided to turn her attention towards music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitchethe cost of $. The track that was the last one to be closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, released in the year 2015. The singer decided to make a career as an actor after completing her first two projects, as an author and musician. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors as well as Storks. Her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians.
