Robert Mapps wanted to increase the speed of his race and beat his records. It could have led to an accident on a motorcycle that killed him however this hasn't yet been proven. Legend has it that he died to the field of Old-fashioned drag racing as well as FWD drag racing. Honda's K-Series, Mitsubishi's 4G63 and Nissan's RB26/VR38 engines are some of the fastest.
